John Curran

John is a Partner at Indemnity. A leader in resolving complex Directors & Officers coverage disputes, John's practice also includes advising policyholders on disputed claims under the full spectrum of financial lines policies.

John’s practice covers a wide spectrum of high-value and complex disputes under financial lines, Directors & Officers (D&O), contingent risk/tax liability and business interruption policies. John also has expertise in the resolution of reinsurance disputes on behalf of reinsured entities. He joined Indemnity in 2021 following five years at a Tier 1 policyholder litigation boutique, six years at DLA Piper, and 20 years at Clifford Chance.

While John now exclusively advises corporate and commercial policyholders on resolving complex or high value insurance disputes, he previously represented global insurers, brokers, and commercial/institutional policyholders in London and internationally. Ranked by Chambers & Partners as a leader in resolving complex coverage disputes, John is particularly recognised for his expertise in pursuing recoveries under Directors & Officers insurance policies.

John is qualified in both England & Wales and Hong Kong and is a solicitor advocate.
