João Paulo practices in the areas of constitutional law and administrative law, with special focus on educational law.

Career

João mostly works as legal advisor specialized in educational law for projects developed by companies and NGO’s. He was Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Education and also Deputy Chief of Governmental Affairs at the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic.

He is coordinator of the Master's in Constitutional Law at the Instituto Brasiliense de Direito Público (IDP).

Personal

João Paulo holds a PhD in Political Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a post-doctoral degree from the Free University of Berlin. Because of his academic expertise, he served in 2022 as a visiting researcher in the Department of Private Law and Legal Theory at the Max-Planck Institute in Frankfurt, one of the world's most renowned research institutions.
