Jesús Gimeno

Jesús Gimeno is Of Counsel of the Employment practice of Simmons & Simmons in Spain, advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues. He advises international and local clients on international restructuring operations, employment aspects of cross-border M&A processes and due diligence reports. Jesus also has extensive expertise in employment litigation, dealing with all type of conflicts, whether collective or individual, in relation to senior executives, mid management and blue-collar workers and also with the Social Security and employment authorities in general. Among his areas of intense experience is the analysis of different situations that arise around senior executives, directors and top management, including the preparation and negotiation of contracts and remuneration systems, as well as advising on conflicts arising from these issues. Jesus has also experience in dealing with employee representation bodies at a local level and with European Works Council.

Jesús advises a wide range of national and international clients from start-up companies to multinational corporations across all of the firm’s core sectors (Financial Institutions, Asset Management and Investment Funds, automotive, TMT, Life Sciences and the pharmaceutical industry).

Jesus is recognized by major legal directories such as Chambers. According to Chambers, Jesús has broad experience in the employment aspects of corporate transactions, restructuring operations and dismissal claims. Interviewees advise that he is a "seasoned and business-oriented labour lawyer."

Jesús has worked his entire career for Anglo-American law firms. Jesus joined Simmons & Simmons as Of Counsel in 2018. Previously he was Of Counsel in another US international law firm. Jesus is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
