Jeremy is a partner in the private wealth team working as part of a team that brings a human touch to a very technical area of law.

He has specialised in this area for over 25 years, acting for individuals and families from a range of backgrounds. His clients include entrepreneurs, landed estates, professionals and families with inherited wealth, UK based as well as international.

Jeremy advises at all stages of wealth planning – whether that is at the planning and structuring stage; during the life of the structures and trusts; at the winding up or during life or on death at probate.

He acts as an advisor, trustee, or executor.

Work Highlights

Advised the executors of an estate worth in excess of £150 million, working iwht others in the team on deeds of variation for teh large number of beneficiaries.

Advised the trustees and owners of a landed estate on the winding up of a trust and reorganisation of ownership amongst the family members then entitled.

Advising a UK national married to a non-UK national on a mutual wills agreement and its enforceability across two jurisdictions.

Advised a UK couple moving abroad on the interplay between the different legal and tax regimes to largely eliminate death duties on their substantial estates.
