Experience

Jennie is an experienced litigator who also provides daily counsel to employers on employment, labor, and other business-related matters. Jennie regularly advises and defends some of the most prominent companies doing business in the Southeast, and also works with many of the Carolina’s finest home-grown businesses, colleges, and universities.

She represents employers in federal and state court litigation, and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission (SHAC) and the Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW). Jennie regularly works with management clients on disputes involving ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, Title VII and NLRA claims, as well as claims such as breach of contract, wrongful termination, unlawful theft, use, and disclosure of trade secrets, and workers’ compensation retaliation.

Jennie regularly conducts investigations into alleged harassment, discrimination and other misconduct claims across the country. Along with her team, Jennie has the ability to provide rapid and thorough investigation support. She is not only trusted by clients to lead such investigations, but is a go-to and trusted investigator for other law firms whose clients have investigative needs.

A portion of Jennie’s practice also encompasses representing corporate and educational clients in complex, high-stakes non-labor and employment matters. Jennie approaches her practice with a high dose of practicality, seeking solutions for clients that are not only legally sound, but also meet key business needs.

Jennie is a Member of Maynard Nexsen’s Board of Directors.
