Career
Jelena Bezarević Pajić is a partner specializing in international commercial arbitration and invest-ment arbitration. Her significant achievements include leading the State of Montenegro to seven major arbitration wins, five in investor-state arbitration and two high-value and high-complexity commercial arbitrations. She is part of the team advising the Government of Bosnia and Herze-govina in a pending UNCITRAL investment arbitration case that concerns a failed investment in a coke plant.
Her growing work included cases conducted under major arbitration rules: ICSID, ICSID Addi-tional Facility, ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, as well as the rules of the Permanent Arbitration with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Jelena is also a highly skilled litigator who represents clients in all instance proceedings in Serbia, as well as Montenegro. Jelena is on the list of arbitrators of the Permanent Arbitration at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Personal
Jelena graduated from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law (LL.B. 2005). She completed a postgraduate course in International Trade including European Union Law, Law on World Trade Organization and International Commercial Arbitration in 2006 at Asser College Europe in the Hague, Netherlands. She also holds an LL.M. in International Business Law (2007) from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.
