Javier Fernández-Lasquetty is one of the leading national experts in intellectual and industrial property, IT and image rights. His professional career in the whole of the institutional sphere linked to his speciality is noteworthy. He is President of the Madrid Bar Intellectual Property Section, panelist of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and member of its Advisory Board, as well as of the board of directors of DENAE (Entertainment Law) and of LES Spain & Portugal and Co Vice-Chair of the LES International Trademarks, Designs, and merchandising Committee. He is also an active member of AIPPI, ALAI and INTA.
Of counsel in the area of Information Technology. Prior to joining Ramón y Cajal Abogados, Javier was Legal Counsel and General Legal Counsel in several IT and consultancy companies, as well as IP/IT partner at a multinational law firm and at another Spanish IP law firm.
Member of the Madrid Bar Association (Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid).
He is currently lecturer and coordinator of Intellectual Property in LLM programmes at IE Law School, and invited professor in Master's programmes at Universidad Carlos III, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad de Alicante and Universidad de Navarra.
