Jason Butwick practices in all aspects of partnership and employment law, focusing especially on the financial services sector. His practice covers structuring and drafting tailored partnership and employment documentation (such as partnership agreements, deeds of admission, employment contracts, incentive and deferral plans, policies and procedures) and advising on SMCR and Remuneration Code implications. He also regularly advises on partnership and employment disputes (such as disciplinary and grievance processes, dismissals, unlawful discrimination and whistleblowing claims, disputed member removals, bonus and remuneration disputes, and enforcement of confidentiality and non-competition obligations). Mr. Butwick is the author of Tolley’s Guide to the National Minimum Wage (Tolley, 1999) and is a contributor to Hedge Funds and the Law (2nd edition, Sweet & Maxwell, 2016) and to Tolley’s Employment Law Looseleaf. He has been interviewed on Radio 4’s Today programme about employment law issues. He has also written numerous articles on regulatory, partnership and employment law topics and is a regular presenter on partnership and employment topics.
