Dr. Jane M. Love is Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation and Life Sciences Practice Groups at Gibson Dunn. Dr. Love is a first-chair trial lawyer focusing exclusively on intellectual property life sciences litigation. Jane represents pharma and biotech clients in district court jury and bench trials, at the Federal Circuit, and before the PTAB. Jane is a nationally recognized leader in Hatch-Waxman and biologics litigation and has prevailed in multi-billion-dollar disputes. Jane has led trial teams in district court and then argued before the Federal Circuit in making new law defending those rulings; she led and won preliminary injunction motions, even when analysts predicted a loss. Jane’s depth of experience in life sciences and in patent law make her a sought-after advocate and advisor. She provides strategic patent advice to public and private clients and in the context of corporate transactions. Jane has a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a post-doctoral fellow at Cornell Medical School in Pharmacology before attending law school. She served as a Captain, and Company Commander, in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Service Corp from 1991 to 1997.
