Jane Fox-Edwards

Jane Fox-Edwards has been an integral part of Allen Overy Shearman Sterling’s specialist real estate litigation team for 10 years, currently as a Peerpoint consultant. Jane has over 30 years’ experience of looking after the interests of property investors, corporate occupiers, retailers, developers, lenders and others on a full spectrum of contentious or potentially contentious property issues.

She is known for achieving solutions by tactical use of her extensive technical knowledge combined with a big dose of pragmatism. She is often called on to provide strategic overview advice to key clients of the firm and has been recognised as a leading lawyer in the Guides for many years. She sits on the Commercial Committee of the British Property Federation. Jane is also a member of Arbrix (the rent review arbitrator’s forum).

Jane continues to lead the field in providing strategic real estate litigation advice - in 2023, for example, she has been central to devising strategies for developers seeking to avoid potential ransom situations and was also brought in to provide high level scenario planning for an investment client faced with various financially challenged counter-parties
