Jan Philipp Schifko is a partner at KWR and specializes in construction and real estate law.

Comprehensive advice, holistic support and professional representation of real estate developers, construction companies (total, general and subcontractors), institutional investors (such as funds, banks and insurance companies), private builders and WE communities, consultants (architects and special experts) and other players in the real estate and construction industry (such as property management companies) in all areas of construction and real estate law. This includes, in particular, support throughout the entire cycle of (large-​volume) real estate projects, from the acquisition review/due diligence, through the optimal structuring of the project and all further steps such as acquisition as an asset deal or share deal, drafting and negotiating all contractual documents (construction contracts, planning contracts, total contractor solutions, etc.), support and advice during the acquisition process, and the implementation of the project. ), support and advice during the project phase (in particular also in the event of disrupted construction processes) up to handover, realisation (including support for the sale [also in the case of BTVG projects] or letting) and warranty management (including representation in construction lawsuits, arbitration proceedings or alternative dispute resolution models). He also focuses on advising and representing clients in connection with the assertion of or defence against claims for additional costs as well as complex construction law disputes (in German and English) and all other construction contract issues.
