Principal areas of practice are professional liability (with particular emphasis on auditors and accountants, lawyers and insurance brokers and on claims involving allegations of dishonesty), regulatory work and insurance. Notable cases include: IAP v Rosser [2018] BCC 751 (fraud claim against solicitors); R (Lewin) v FRC [2018] 1 WLR 2867 (third party rights to fairness in the audit regulatory context); Khanty-Mansiysk v Forsters [2018] 1 Costs LR 89 (CA) (settlement agreement precluding claim against solicitors); IEGL v Zurich [2016] AC 509 (SC) (treatment of mesothelioma claims for the purposes of EL insurance purposes); and Holgate v Addleshaw Goddard [2019] PNLR 32 (jurisdictional issues in context of negligence claim against company administrators).
