James Winterbottom

James Winterbottom is a senior solicitor at Aston Knight Solicitors, practising exclusively in personal injury and clinical negligence. He has extensive experience across complex and high-value claims, with particular expertise in chronic pain, psychiatric injury, and functional neurological disorders.

James has acted in significant brain injury litigation and previously served as a professional trustee for a brain-injured client, providing him with a rare and practical understanding of the long-term realities faced by seriously injured individuals beyond the point of settlement.

Recognised for his analytical approach and tenacity, James is frequently instructed in challenging cases previously closed or rejected by large national firms, often following negative advice from counsel.
