James is the author of Jersey’s leading trust disputes text ‘Litigating Trust Disputes in Jersey Law, Procedure and Remedies’

James advises and represents both beneficiaries and trustees in:

• Breach of trust claims

• Asset tracing/recovery

• Claims for secondary liability against accessories.

• Disputes concerning trust administration,

• Applications to court for directions, variation and rectification of trusts

• Disputes about disclosure

• The appointment and removal of trustees; and

• Disputes about the exercise of powers.

He advises on jurisdictional disputes and the enforcement of foreign judgments against trustees and beneficiaries.

James also advises on a broad range of contentious and commercial and company law disputes.
