James is a UK Real Estate partner who has specialised for the last 15 years in healthcare investment and development work, acting for UK pension funds and US private equity funds who invest in retirement villages, care homes, primary care centres and other specialist healthcare facilities. He also deals with acquisitions, asset management and disposals for a number of social car operators. James manages a cross office and cross jurisdictional team on asset acquisitions and disposals, share acquisitions and disposals, forward purchases and forward funded acquisitions, propco and opco separations. James has recently worked on retirement village acquisitions for AXA IM and Legal & General, care home acquisitions for Railpen , Aviva and Belgian REIT Aedifica, primary care acquisitions for MedicX Fund / PHP, care home disposals for Apache Capital, disposal of a care home portfolio for a US private equity fund. James also operates in main stream transactional real estate work including property investment and development work. His relevant experience includes acting for developers on site acquisition, assembly and disposal (by way of multi tenure) of large scale mixed use developments. James leads a number of our key national relationships including HBD, Frontier Estates and Investcorp.
