Jaime has focused his practice on advising domestic and international clients in mergers and acquisition processes, joint ventures, corporate and structured financing, corporate reorganizations, foreign investment and corporate matters.
Since he was named partner in 2022, Jaime was part of and led many corporate and M&A transactions across a wide range of industries, including acquisitions made by Fondo de Inversión Bci Invinsa Rentas Inmobiliarias of offices and warehouses in Santiago; the sale of Mining Tag S.A. to Swedish company Epiroc Drills AB; the sale of phytosanitary products by Agrospec to Arysta LifeScience Chile S.A. (local subsidiary of Indian holding UPL Ltd.); the acquisitions made by a fund managed by Administradora de Fondos Invinsa S.A. of two residential and commercial buildings in Chile; the sale of Central Hidroeléctrica Río Mulchen S.A., a hydropower station located in Mulchén, Chile; the acquisition of Grupo MBO (owner of Hugo Boss, Perry Ellis, Florsheim, Trial and Canadienne stores in Chile) by a group of executives of the said company; the sale of 49% of Bio Insumos Nativa to Sumitomo Group (Japan); the acquisition of Altis S.A. Administradora General de Fondos S.A.;, the sale of Servimaq, to Salazar Israel holding; the acquisition of mining tech companies by Alza Group, among others.
Additionally, Mr. Hirschberg provides permanent corporate legal counselling to clients such as BCI Group, Invinsa Group, Compass Group, Administrador Financiero de Transantiago S.A., Grupo MBO, in their daily operations and provide general corporate advice, including contractual issues and analysis of documents related to all the legal aspects of the company.
He also has obtained international experience at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, New York Office, working as a foreign associate in the M&A, Project Finance and Latam practice Group.
Jaime is a board member of Invinsa Administradora General de Fondos S.A. and secretary of the Board of Administrador Fiananciero de Transantiago S.A.
