Mr. Jae-Yun Yun is a senior counsel at Shin & Kim and his main areas of practice include construction and real estate disputes, white collar criminal litigations, administrative litigations, corporate general disputes, media and broadcasting disputes, and family cases.

Mr. Yun has successfully led Samsung inheritance case (the largest inheritance lawsuit) and shown excellent performance in many large civil cases and large corporate crime cases.

Mr. Yun was given a Chulwoo Media Law Award by the Korean Society for Media Law. He has had extensive experience in handling media, administration and criminal cases, including serving as the (acting) Chairman of the Central Land Expropriation Committee, as the presiding judge of court cases related to land expropriation at Seoul High Court, and as the presiding judge of court cases related to corruption related criminal.

Mr. Yun served for the longest time as the presiding judge in construction related court cases at Seoul Central District Court and Seoul High Court. For about 15 years, he has been training lawyers and judges for construction related court cases. Also, he is the author of a book “Laws Related to Construction Disputes”, a must regarding construction dispute practice. All these activities make him the highest authority in the area of construction dispute lawsuits.
