Jack has a busy and varied professional indemnity practice. He acts in claims against a wide variety of professionals, with particular experience in claims against lawyers and financial professionals. He is frequently instructed to act as sole Counsel in complex, document-heavy cases and over the last 3 years, he has been one of insurers’ Counsel of choice to defend bulk issued claims in three emerging areas of professional negligence, namely multiple-dwelling relief and ground rent claims against conveyancers and claims against mortgage brokers for the alleged mis-selling of interest only mortgages.

In addition to acting in litigation involving professionals, Jack is experienced in advising on regulatory issues, ranging from Ombudsman complaints to FCA investigations and past business reviews.

Alongside his professional negligence practice, Jack advises on insurance coverage under a range of professional indemnity policies and he has particular expertise in advising on successor practice issues, aggregation and issues of non-disclosure and late notification.
