J Allen Maines is the Executive Partner in Holland & Knight’s Atlanta office. He focuses on major commercial litigation and arbitration, including defending class and mass actions, corporate and fiduciary investigations, business torts and M&A disputes. Mr. Maines has served as lead trial counsel to some of the world’s largest entities in controversies of major significance, including cross-border international securities and shareholder disputes, competitive disputes (non-compete agreements, antitrust and unfair competition), intellectual property claims, consumer claims including privacy, business torts including fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty actions.  Recent engagements involve the heath care, payment processing, service, financial and telecom/Internet industries.
