Ibaad Hakim is an Abu Dhabi-based partner in the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure practice. Ibaad’s practice focuses on high-end oil and gas, infrastructure and power projects, many of which are project financed. His practice covers the entire lifecycle of a construction and engineering project — from procurement strategy and contract drafting/negotiation to claims advice and dispute resolution. His experience spans a wide range of procurement models, including traditional, design and build, EPC/turnkey, construction management and collaborative contracting.
In addition, Ibaad advises sponsors, government agencies, contractors and consultants on standard form contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, JCT, ICE and IChemE, as well as EPC, ECI, DBOM, BOT/BOOT and PFI contracts and bespoke agreements, in connection with a wide range of industries and jurisdictions.
