Personal

A partner in international law firms based in Italy for 20+ years, Ian has in-depth knowledge of the European legal market. Having qualified and practised in London, Ian moved to a role as inhouse counsel in a listed Italian multinational, before transitioning back to private practice. Happily based in Milan since 1995.

Ian founded SWOT Legal in 2023 along with Italian lawyer Alessandra Del Bianco, backed by investors, in order to meet the need for a highly professional, multi-lingual, one-stop shop supplier of top-drawer legal experts in the pan-European temporary legal staffing market.

Within SWOT Legal, my track record as a corporate finance and commercial lawyer based in Continental Europe gives me an ideal viewpoint to help quickly understand the needs of GCs for temporary legal staff around Europe across a range of industry sectors, while my partner Alessandra Del Bianco's expertise extends to include also litigation and dispute resolution, making Alessandra a perfect for interface for GCs with legal staffing needs for contentious matters.

Clients

Consistant with our mission of supplying quality legal experts to leading multinational corporations and primary law firms accross Eiurope, SWOT Legal's clients are typically large corporates operating across multiple jurisdictins, and leading law firms. However, we happily serve smaller corporates, growth-mode ventures and private equity funds, both for their own needs, and for their portfolio companies.
