Hyeong Joo Lim

Hyeong Joo Lim, a partner in Yulchon’s Intellectual Property Practice, is the head of New Industry IP Team and the deputy head of the Internal Investigations Team. Mr. Lim has extensive experience in performing civil and criminal litigation and in providing advice on technology leakage and trade secret, and in performing litigation involving patent infringement, compliance issues including trade secret, employee invention and prohibition of solicitation and internal investigation (including forensic analysis).

With such extensive work experience and positive client comments, Mr. Lim has been recognized as a leading individual in the IP field in Korea by prestigious international and domestic publications and directories, such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, and Asian Legal Business. He was also awarded with a ministerial commendation from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for his hard work in advancing industrial technology protection and selected as the Best IP Lawyer by the Korea In-House Counsel Association in 2020. Mr. Lim also serves as a Special Counsel in the Bio Section of the Presidential Council on Intellectual Property and a member of the Copyright Protection Deliberation Committee of the Korea Copyright Protection Agency.
