Career

Hermione is a chancery commercial barrister with a broad domestic and offshore practice. Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008 and admitted as a Barrister in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (BVI) in 2014, she specialises in commercial litigation, trusts and estates, company, insolvency and property law. As many cases span multiple areas, clients value her wide-ranging expertise and the strategic insight gained from her offshore experience.

Her domestic practice is strengthened by time spent working in the British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong and Guernsey on complex cross‑border disputes. Holding a current BVI practising certificate, Hermione continues to advise on BVI law. Her hands‑on experience, including working in‑house within teams, equips her with a practical, commercially attuned approach that adds genuine value.

Central to Hermione’s practice is her commitment to client care. She aims to be approachable and empathetic while providing rigorous technical analysis and robust advocacy. Known for her eye for detail, she brings a strategic and meticulous approach to every case. She is described as articulate, effective, and quick‑thinking, able to present persuasive arguments and identify solutions that advance and protect her clients’ best interests.

Hermione’s decade of practice enables her to deliver high‑level expertise with commercial acumen, dedication and tenacity. Her approach inspires confidence and fosters strong client relationships. She is also a contributor to Williams, Mortimer & Sunnucks on Executors, Administrators and Probate and the Company Law Encyclopaedia.
