Career

Henry Lang is a top player in the Costa Rica law firm arena. He is widely known and respected by his peers and in the legal industry overall as a seasoned and well-rounded Costa Rican attorney.

He graduated with the highest-grade point average in the entire University of Costa Rica (highest not only at the Law School but for all schools of the University, by far, the largest of the country), and pursued his Masters’ Degree, with a Fulbright scholarship, at Harvard Law School.

His legal career, of more than 30 years, has been always based and imprinted by academic excellence, impeccable attention to detail, practical sense, and business acumen.

Henry has a long-standing relationship with the different entities promoting foreign direct investment in Costa Rica and is one of the most trusted legal names for new projects. He works closely both with CINDE (Costa Rican foreign direct investment promotion agency) and Procomer (Costa Rica’s free trade zone government entity). He is constantly involved in the set up of new projects in the country, in and out of the free trade zone regime, and has vast experience in medical, electronic and high precision manufacturing, as well as on the software, back office, BPO and technology sectors.

He is a member at the American Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) and at the French Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the list of top recommended attorneys for the United States, Canadian, French, Swiss, Belgian and Australian Embassies in the country.
