Hany is a Solicitor in England & Wales and an Advocate in the Republic of Yemen with almost a decade of experience in dispute resolution, which encompasses working on investment treaty arbitration, commercial arbitration and court litigation. He is the Republic of Yemen's first designee to the ICSID Panels of Conciliators and of Arbitrators. His experience encompasses participating in 9 arbitration hearings (under ICC, LCIA, ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules) and 8 hearings before the English High Court. Hany has particular expertise acting for and against States and State-Owned Entities in difficult jurisdictions. He authored an article published by Oxford University Press’ Arbitration International - the official journal of London Court of International Arbitration - entitled “Blockades and international investment treaties”. He regularly delivers training to States and state officials on international disputes.
