Experience
Guillermo is an Intellectual Property specialist and has advised several companies regarding the administration of their IP portfolios in Central and Latin America.
He has successfully advised clients on the enforcement of their IP rights on anti-counterfeiting, anti-piracy and infringement matters.
He has vast experience on copyright matters in the music and entertainment industry, software, big data, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, advising also on agreements, IP contracts and management of IP, particularly on transferring or assuring IP rights, technology, knowhow and data.
Lately he has been involved in the development of the national guide to open public data from the National Open Data Commission and has also advised the Climate Change Directorate of the Ministry of Environment regarding data transfer for the National System on Metrics of Climate Change.
Guillermo is also an International Public Law, Informatics Law and Intellectual Property Transactions (Master) professor in different Costa Rican universities.
