Career
Greg opened his own law practice in 2022 after a career of over 33 years at a large full-service firm, the last 26 as partner and head of the firm's International Trade Group. Greg regularly represents clients with respect to cross-border trade issues, including compliance with international trade agreements (e.g., USMCA/CUSMA, CETA, CPTPP, WTO), export/import controls, and economic sanctions. Greg has substantial experience in, and regularly assists clients with, trade remedy matters, including antidumping/anti-subsidy investigations and appeals, as well as safeguards inquiries. Greg has expertise in all areas of customs law including tariff classification, valuation, rules of origin, marking rules, seizures, administrative monetary penalties, and voluntary disclosures. He also assists clients with respect to planning, compliance, and appeals involving GST/HST, excise levies, and other commodity taxes.

Greg has served as Chair, CBA’s Commodity Tax, Customs, and Trade Section, Co-Chair, Customs Law Committee of the ABA’s International Law Section, Chair, OBA’s International Law Section; and board member, IE Canada. Greg is a member of the CITT Advisory Committee and of the CBSA’s BCCC Trade Compliance and Recourse Subcommittee.
