Grace heads the Singapore Regulatory practice, which consists of three associates. The practice was recently named Law Firm of the Year at the 5th Regulation Asia Awards, and Grace was also named Fintech Lawyer of the Year at the Law.com Asia Legal Awards 2023, and named as an “Innovative Individual” by Financial Times.
Grace is a certified cybersecurity GLEG, IAPP CIPP/A/E/CIPM professional, an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy and was named as one of GDR’s Top 40 Data Lawyers. She has extensive experience advising on cross-border and complex regulatory matters, including licensing and conduct of business requirements, regulatory investigations, and regulatory change. A former in-house counsel from MAS, Grace regularly advises banks, global technology companies, and payment service providers on licensing and business conduct issues, AML and sanctions, outsourcing and technology risk management, and legal and regulatory issues in relation to use of AI.
As a Board Member of ACCESS, she regularly interacts with key regulators, is closely involved in regional regulatory reform initiatives, and has led discussions with regulators on behalf of the financial services industry. She also leads the AIMA ESG Working Group, and regularly advises on the extra-territorial impact of SFDR, ESG fund disclosures and ESG governance.
