Mr. Ramírez Garrido specializes in the areas of banking and finance, bankruptcy and restructurings, with an emphasis in acquisition finance, structured finance, asset-backed financing, real estate financing, corporate financing and project finance, as well as in structuring and implementing complex collateral packages.

Mr. Ramírez Garrido represents a variety of clients in all kinds of banking and finance transactions. Among others, he regularly advises international and domestic banks, investment banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions and institutional investors, as well as corporate borrowers, in a wide variety of financial transactions, including single bank and syndicated facilities, secured and unsecured local and cross-border loans, senior and mezzanine loans, real estate finance and project finance transactions.

Mr. Ramírez Garrido has been recognized as a Notable Practitioner and ranked in the field of banking and finance by Chambers Latin America (Chambers & Partners, Latin America Guide 2017) and Best Lawyers. Mr. Ramírez Garrido is noted for his work and has been consistently ranked or featured as a leading practitioner in the fields of banking, finance and restructuring by various international publications, including Chambers Global 2017, IFLR 1000, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, Latin Lawyer and Best Lawyers.

Mr. Ramírez Garrido worked as an International Associate in the New York office of Shearman & Sterling during 2000-2001.

He received his law degree (JD) from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 1996, and obtained his LL.M degree from New York University Law School in 2000.
