Gilberto Gornati

Gilberto focuses his practice on insolvency-related matters, including bankruptcy cases, out-of-court workouts, bankruptcy-related litigation, collateral package structuring, corporate restructuring, and distressed asset acquisition. In 2017, Gilberto became one of the partners o Thomaz Bastos, Waisberg, Kurzweil Advogados; before that, he was a senior associate at TWK Advogados. He holds an LLB from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, an LLM in Philosophy of Law and Legal Theory and a PhD degrees from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Gilberto is Professor at the FGV Law School on Corporate Law and coordinator of the short course on Business Law in Crisis. Member of the Board of Directors of the TMA Brazilian chapter.
