Georgina specialises in Private Client law and advises on a broad range of matters, including:
- Lifetime succession and estate planning
- Advice on the mitigation of Inheritance Tax
- Creating and updating Wills
- Administration of estates of all sizes and complexities (commonly known as Probate)
- Creation and administration of trusts (including Declarations of Trust relating to property)
- Preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Applications to the Court of Protection and other mental capacity issues
Georgina has particular expertise in high-value estate administrations with multiple beneficiaries including charities, and complex intestacy matters involving locating beneficiaries using PIs and DNA tests.
Whilst studying her Law degree, Georgina joined Crane & Staples as an administrator in 2014. The firm quickly recognised Georgina's natural ability and flair for legal work. She undertook her training contract in 2015 and qualified as a Private Client Solicitor in 2017. In April 2024, Georgina was promoted to Senior Associate Solicitor at Crane & Staples.
Georgina is a member of the Law Society's Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS) and an Affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
