Gene Matthews is a partner in Leigh Day’s London office. He specialises in claimant-led group/multi-party actions with a focus on product safety, data breach and clinical trials.
Gene is instructed on many of the firm’s high-profile group claims including a mass action by more than 20,000 car owners against Nissan/Renault for alleged use of ‘defeat’ emission devices; and claims by over 5000 individuals against EasyJet PLC following a significant data breach.
Gene is regularly instructed by volunteers and patients harmed by clinical drug trials.
