Gavin Pearson leads Quantuma’s Disputes, Investigations and Valuations team.
He is a highly experienced forensic accountant and expert witness with more than 25 years’ experience, a Fellow of the ICAEW and a member of The Academy of Experts.
Gavin is instructed by solicitors and prosecuting bodies to act as expert accountant in civil, family and criminal matters (including as single joint expert) in various courts, arbitrations and tribunals in the UK and overseas. Gavin has given evidence under cross-examination on more than 30 occasions.
He also regularly accepts appointments as party adviser to assist clients in the preparation and defence of claims outside of a formal expert appointment. Gavin is experienced in acting as expert determiner, including appointments under the ICAEW President’s Nominations Scheme.
The quantum of cases Gavin has worked on ranges from hundreds of thousands to billions of pounds, including large and high-profile matters.

Work Highlights
Working alongside his fellow experts and team members, Gavin’s recent case work has also encompassed:
• Working on a high-profile case relating to the Post Office Horizon scandal to quantify resulting losses for over 60 wrongly accused individuals as part of a process for them to receive compensation for direct and consequential losses.
• Providing expert witness services and advisory support/shadow expert services on complex commercial disputes, as well as matrimonial, fraud and compulsory purchase cases, across a wide range of industries.
• Acting as expert determiner for share valuation and completion accounts/earn out disputes.
• Leading fraud and other investigations, including identifying and investigating wrongdoing by individuals and corporates.
