Career

Gautham Srinivas is a Partner in the Securities, Capital Markets and Corporate practice group in the NCR office – Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon since 2016. Prior to joining Khaitan & Co, Gautham was a partner at Krishnamurthy & Co (New Delhi) and at Link Legal after working at Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co for approximately 9 years.

Gautham has represented issuers, investment banks, and selling shareholders on various initial public offerings (IPO), qualified institutions placement (QIP), rights offering, high yield debt offerings, global depository receipts (GDR) offering among others for both Regulation S and 144A deals.

Gautham has also advised clients on relevant aspects in mergers and amalgamations, private equity investments and other areas of corporate law practice.

Gautham has authored the following contributions:

• Co-authored the article titled “Indirect Acquisitions under the Takeover code: The Fairness-Efficiency Spectrum and Lessons for Regulation” that was published in the NLS Business Law Review in 2020.

• Gautham was a member of the visiting faculty at National Law University, Delhi for their seminar courses having taught on topics related to securities law and diligence related aspects.

• Speaker at various conferences in relation to due diligence exercise to be undertaken for initial public offering.

• He has also worked with various industry representatives on representations to the government, dealing with suggestions relating to the proposed legal regime on overseas direct listing of Indian companies. He has also co-authored an article in this regard on Mondaq. Apart from this, he has also been quoted in news articles from time to time, pertaining to various legal updates relating to the capital markets practice.
