Practice Areas
Frédéric Nouel is a Partner in Gide's "Real Estate" team in Paris and has been a Senior Partner of the firm since 2021.
His practice focuses mainly on M&A, financial and real estate transactions for listed and non listed players in the European real estate market and on investment funds. Frédéric played a key role in the creation in France of real estate investment funds (OPCI OPPCI - "non-listed Reits"), which now have almost €100 billion in assets under management. He has developed significant expertise in investment fund creation and development of professional alternative investment funds (FIA) in all sectors of the real estate and hotel industries.
He is involved in a number of major market transactions. Recent clients include Kering, Accor, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Icamap, BPCE, Klepierre, Engie, ADEO, Swiss-Life, Domus-Vi, BNP-Paribas, KKR and SFL.
Frédéric is a graduate of the universities of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris-Dauphine. He is a member of the Paris Bar.
Career
A Gide partner since 1994, Frédéric Nouel is the firm's Senior Partner and chairs the firm's Executive Committee since January 2021.
Frédéric holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in Business Law (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, 1985) and an honours degree (Maîtrise) in Management (University of Paris-Dauphine, 1983).

Frédéric is the co-author of a book, "Les OPCI - Organismes de placement collectif immobilier", Delmas Editions (2008), with Xavier Lépine and Daniel While.
