F. Russell Harwell counsels clients in a variety of real estate and financial matters including: selling, acquiring, and leasing retail, office, and industrial properties; real estate development; construction; financing; and zoning issues. He represents regional and national clients including real estate owners, real estate investment trusts (REITs), commercial and residential landlords, lenders and buyers, and specialty and national retail tenants.

Russell has an extensive familiarity with IRC Section 1013 tax-deferred exchanges, and also assists clients in arranging for the services of a qualified intermediary. He handles high-profile, high-stakes matters for clients, negotiating and closing front-page type transactions.
