Etienne started his career at CNIL (the French Data Protection Authority) in 1996 and joined private practice in 2000. He has contributed to numerous European and French parliamentary works, public consultations, and publications, particularly on the GDPR, the draft ePrivacy Regulation, the EU AI Act, data transfers and governance, digital sovereignty, and cybersecurity.
Before joining Hogan Lovells in February 2020 with a team of lawyers, Etienne has worked in several French and international law firms.
