Emma is a child law specialist. She joined Goodman Ray in November 2014 as a senior member of our care and children team. Emma specialises in complex care proceedings dealing with allegations of non accidental injury, murder and sexual abuse. She has represented both parents and children in cases involving disputed medical treatment and fabricated illness where social services have intervened. Emma has also acted for a number of parents where social services have intervened due to concerns of parental alienation and high levels of acrimony following a separation such that it is considered the children are suffering harm. She has acted in several cases where a change of residence is sought in these circumstances. Emma also advises parents in relation to child arrangements orders, formerly known as residence and contact disputes, she specialises in cases where there are allegations of physical and emotional abuse and coercive control, parental alienation, implacable hostility and emotional harm.
Emma specialised in family law on qualification. She has worked for renowned firms Hornby & Levy and Fisher Meredith where she was a partner, before deciding to join the specialist family firm Goodman Ray.
