Peggy Ray is recognised as a pioneer in the field of family law. She specialises in children law, representing parents and children in both child protection and private law cases. Specifically she has extensive experience in cases concerning complex issues such as emotional and sexual abuse, complex medical issues, radicalisation, child abduction, cases with international elements, and adoption.
Co-founded Goodman Ray in 1985 and continues as senior partner to date. Appointed Family only Recorder (South East Circuit) 2007, awarded Unicef Child Rights Lawyer of the Year 2001, Family Law Lawyer of the Year 2005 and John Cornwell Outstanding Contribution to Family Law 2014, and Entrepreneur of the Year (Magic Circle) 2018
Peggy has been a member of the Children Panel since 1985 and continues to be a member of Resolution, Association of Lawyers for Children, NAGALRO and the Advisory Board Youth Justice Legal Centre.
Peggy has contributed to various publications over the years including Family Law, Lexis Nexis, Seen & Heard.
