Emily specialises in commercial law. She has particular expertise in banking and finance-related matters and commercial fraud, and she is experienced in obtaining and resisting applications for injunctive relief.

Recent cases include: N v RBS [2020] 2 All ER (Comm) 111 (claim for damages caused by a bank’s failure to comply with payment instructions), UTB LLC v Sheffield United Limited [2019] EWHC 2322 (Ch) (shareholder dispute in respect of the ownership of Sheffield United Football Club and related property); Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited v Fougera Sweden Holding 2 AB [2017] EWHC 1995 (Civ) (claim relating to the interpretation of a standard-form cooperation clause in a share purchase agreement); Palmerston v Brocket Hall (UK) Ltd [2016] EWHC 2018 (Comm) (injunction in respect of an agency agreement, and an arbitration); Globe Motors v TRW Lucasvarity [2016] EWCA Civ 396 (commercial dispute about construction of a long-term supply agreement); LSREF III v Millvalley [2016] EWHC 466 (Comm) (claim for rectification of an ISDA Master Agreement and confirmation); E v S (2015) (claims in deceit, knowing receipt, dishonest assistance, unjust enrichment, and unlawful means conspiracy against a number of defendants in respect of an insurance fraud); Stokors v IG Markets [2013] EWHC 631 (Comm) (claim for dishonest assistance and knowing receipt in a banking context).
