Leading Lathrop GPM’s Franchise & Distribution Practice, Liz focuses on franchise transaction. She helps startup franchisors to position their franchise systems for growth, and also helps experienced franchisors to expand their franchise systems.
One of Lathrop GPM’s most active international franchise partners, she has helped numerous franchisors enter markets across the globe. Liz also manages the franchise registration process for more than 45 well-known U.S. brands every year and has worked with more than 20 startup franchisors.
Liz has earned the Certified Franchise Executive designation from the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives. In addition to her Chambers Global designation in Franchise, she has also been a Chambers USA-ranked Franchise attorney since 2011, an International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers attorney since 2013, and a Franchise Times “Legal Eagle” for 13 years.

In addition to articles published in Franchise Times, Franchising World and The Franchise Lawyer, Liz co-authored a chapter in the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising Publication on “Exemptions and Exclusions Under New York Law.” She also speaks regularly at American Bar Association Forums on Franchising and International Franchise Association Conventions and has covered topics including “Judicial Updates,” “Negotiating Challenging Provisions in Franchise Agreements,” and “Five Ways to Maximize Your Return on Investment Through International Franchising."
Personal
Liz earned her juris doctorate cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
