Gaylen Knack is a leading figure in the international franchise community and has contributed heavily to the international expansion of Lathrop GPM’s Franchise & Distribution practice by advising numerous franchisors on how to develop their foreign franchise and distribution programs.
With 30 years of experience, Gaylen has assisted franchisors with expanding into more than 135 countries. He maintains a strong voice within the Multilaw global network of law firms, developing relationships with law firms worldwide, many of whom have franchising experience. He was recently named the Chair of the Americas Region for Multilaw.
He also co-edits the International Journal of Franchising Law and has earned the Certified Franchise Executive designation by the International Franchise Association; on whose supplier forum advisory board he sits.
Gaylen serves clients in a variety of sectors, including hospitality, fitness and finance.
In addition to his recognition by Chambers Global and Chambers USA, Gaylen has also been recognized by International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers since 2003 and Franchise Times’ "Legal Eagles" since 2007.
