Eduardo is one of the Co-Heads of the Dispute Resolution Department of the Brasilia Office. His main areas of practice are Constitutional, Digital, Administrative, Regulatory, and Economic Law, in which he works both as a consultant and a litigation conductor, with an emphasis on the Superior Courts, especially the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and the Electoral Superior Court (TSE). He is the leader of our Digital Law team and has been working extensively in matters regarding the regulation of new technologies and applications. 

Career

Eduardo Mendonça (LL.B., M.S.L, S.J.D., University of the State of Rio de Janeiro) is a legal practitioner since 2005, and a former member of the National Commission of Constitutional Studies of the Brazilian Bar Association – Federal Council (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil – Conselho Federal). Eduardo is full Professor of Constitutional Law and Digital Law at the graduate and undergraduate courses of UniCEUB, and has served as clerk at the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court. Speaks Portuguese (native), English and German (fluent), and has basic communication skills in Spanish.

Publications

Eduardo is the author of a book, “A Constitucionalização das Finanças Públicas no Brasil – Devido Processo Orçamentário e Democracia”, as well as several chapters and articles, both in specialized periodicals and in newspapers.

Personal

Married, father of twins boys and a marathon runner.
