Duncan SINGANO has over twenty-five years of experience as a legal practitioner. In this time, he has handled a wide range of complex commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, loan and facility agreements, structured finance agreements, PPP transactions, development agreements, mining, project financing, listing, capital raising, employment, energy, and concession agreements, amongst others.
He conducted a comprehensive all-composing due diligence for the financing of Kayelekera Uranium Mine, the first commercial mine in Malawi, and provided advice on a wide range of local law issues to lenders for financing of the Nacala Rail Project, a multijurisdictional project involving construction and rehabilitation of a railway from the eastern side of Mozambique to the western side through Malawi for transportation of coal from Moatize Mine at Tete in Mozambique to the port of Nacala and transportation of goods between Malawi and Nacala port.
