She advises on high-value and structured transactions across the full spectrum of debt financings, bonds and sukuk (public and private placements), IPOs, rights issues and other equity raisings, and Shariah-compliant lending structures. Her practice also encompasses advising fintechs, sponsors and investors on regulatory strategy, licensing and transactional fundraising, including venture, private equity and structured investment rounds. She acts for multinational companies, private equity and venture capital firms, financial institutions, impact investors and leading Tanzanian corporates on sophisticated, often cross-border matters.
Career
Doxa Mbapila has over 10 years’ senior in-house experience, having served as Head of Legal and Company Secretary at leading financial institutions, including Citibank Tanzania and Stanbic Bank Tanzania. In these roles, she advised on high-value financings, capital markets transactions, regulatory compliance and board-level corporate governance. She served as counsel for BG Tanzania (now Shell), advising on corporate, regulatory and commercial matters in the energy sector. Prior to moving in-house, she worked in a leading law firm in Tanzania. She returned to private practice at Endoxa Law, where she is Partner and Head of the Corporate, Commercial and Banking Practice.
