Dominique specialises in personal injury, travel law, clinical negligence, and inquests.
In travel law, she has expertise in cross-border clinical negligence claims, jurisdictional issues, and package travel claims. Together with Matthew Chapman KC, Sarah Prager, Jack Harding, Thomas Yarrow and Henk Soede, Dominique co-wrote the latest edition of ‘Saggerson on Travel Law and Litigation’. Dominique has also recently authored “A practical guide to cross-border clinical negligence claims”, due for publication in 2023.
Dominique is also recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ in clinical negligence. She regularly acts in claims involving consent issues, delays in treatment, and failures to diagnose, for both claimants and defendants. She has experience of obtaining findings of fundamental dishonesty and is adept at handling claims concerning surgical treatment abroad. Dominique also acts in inquests.
Career
Dominique studied law at the University of Surrey, where she gained a First Class Honours degree. She undertook her Bar Professional Training Course at the University of Law (London Bloomsbury) and achieved a ‘Very Competent’. Dominique was awarded an Exhibition Award and Duke of Edinburgh Entrance Award by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.
