Domingo A Diaz de la Guardia

Domingo Díaz de la Guardia joined Icaza, González-Ruiz & Alemán in 2014 as an associate and was named partner in 2024. He specializes in Corporate Law, Private Wealth, and Administrative Law.

Domingo oversees the company formation area of the firm and holds a pivotal role in implementing new technologies at the firm for company formation and private wealth clients. He is also passionate about Fintech and Artificial Intelligence and their integration within multiple industries.

Domingo’s educational background in law includes a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Universidad Católica Santa María la Antigua in Panama in 2012, and a Master in Law at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, USA in 2014. He later continued his studies with a Specialization in Taxation from Universidad Especializada del Contador Público Autorizado in Panama in 2013 and expanded his knowledge base by earning a Master of Business Administration from Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala and a Master of Management from A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, both in 2019, enhancing his business acumen.

Domingo is an active member of the Panama Bar Association and the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). He actively participates in various committees within these organizations, including Trade and Investment, Legislation and Taxation, and Transportation & Logistics. Through his involvement in these associations, he is able to contribute to developing relevant legal frameworks.
