Dharshini Prasad is Partner in Willkie's International Arbitration practice group. She is triple qualified to practice in Singapore, England and Wales, and New York and draws on her multi-jurisdictional experience to advise State, State-owned entity and multi-national corporate clients in complex, high value disputes with a cross-border element. Over the course of her career, Dharshini has acted as counsel in several billion dollar arbitrations in different industries, from energy and mining, to technology, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and private equity. Her diversified practice also spans disputes across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
Apart from her work as counsel, Dharshini has an active practice as arbitrator, serves on the LCIA Court and is on the Board of Editors of the AAA Dispute Resolution Journal. She regularly speaks on issues of international arbitration and also teaches seminars on energy and investor-State arbitration at Queen Mary University, having previously taught at New York University (Paris) and the London School of Economics, Austrian and SIAC arbitration academies. Prior to joining the LCIA Court, Dharshini worked closely with SIAC for several years, including to help draft the 2016 Arbitration Rules, 2017 Investment Arbitration Rules and Proposal on Cross-Institutional Consolidation Protocol.
