He advises local and international clients on merger control, behavioural competition matters and compliance. Desmond's knowledge of competition laws extends to many other African countries, as well as regional regulators like the COMESA Competition Commission. Desmond's experience spans a range of sectors including agri-processing, automotive, construction, financial services, healthcare, mining, petrochemical, distribution and retail and telecommunications. He was previously Head of Research at the Competition Tribunal of South Africa.
