Deanna was called to the Bar in 2011 upon being awarded the Bar Scholarship and Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship. She has a broad civil and regulatory practice with an emphasis on land and trusts, general commercial law and medical negligence. She is recognized as a "Leading Junior" in The Legal 500 (Legalease) (2024) Commercial Disputes practice area and ranked in the Chambers & Partners Greater China Region 2024: Commercial Dispute Resolution: The Bar. She has also undertaken an array of criminal work from the Magistracies to the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, with a particular emphasis on matters relating to the Securities and Futures Commission and white-collar crime.
Deanna was appointed as a Deputy Adjudicator of the Small Claims Tribunal in May to July 2020. She is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of several Appeal Boards of the Government. She is a committee member of various Special Committees of the Hong Kong Bar Association and was the Chairman of the Young Barristers Committee.
Deanna graduated from her LL.B. at the University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours, from her P.C.LL. with distinction, and from her LL.M. at Harvard Law School with 6 honour subjects. She was a recipient of numerous scholarships during her studies.
